Through Pilly Dolls, we are helping the flood affected women, return to stable and productive way of life.
Core Objectives: Livelihood Generation | Post-Disaster Trauma Counselling | Women Empowerment
This project is entirely run by the sale of Pilly Dolls. We request you to buy and help these marginalised women to earn a sustainable income.
This project is started in a small island in Kerala called MoolamPilly. The women who make the doll named it with their village name Pilly.
Pilly Dolls are made by women, who lives in small/remote islands which are badly affected by the floods.
This is a post disaster rehabilitation project in which the women can learn new skills and socialise with others which enabling them to begin to recover from the immense trauma that they have suffered. Also this project helps to earn a sustainable income, thus allowing them to begin to rebuild their life after the floods.
All the money directly goes to rebuilding the lives of flood affected women who are making these dolls.
